After spending 3yrs in Shanghai, as brand leader for key international clients, Takeshi Komuro has returned to his local office, in a promotional move as Managing Partner, running the agencies key accounts Nike, Haagen-Dazs, Rolex, DBGM and Volvo. He now works closely with Japan, Country Head, Matt Eaton, driving the growth of these businesses forward. Komuro was with Mindshare, 10yrs ago, at its inception, when he was part of JWTs media planning department. “Komuro san, is one of the great examples of people being supported through the ranks, as we continue to invest in our talent across Asia”, said Eaton. “It is important for us to keep our guys happy, by giving them the opportunity to grow and develop, not just here but in other markets. We benefit from it. As do our clients” he added. “With his overseas experience, he can further add value to his clients; and is now in a better position to transition our clients through the Mindshare restructure by offering a more international perspective”. Other notable moves for the Tokyo stars include Tomonori Inasaka to the London office; where he will take on the role of Global Brand Director for Unilever.
